Roles & Responsibilities
Medical data analysis and mining
Required Qualifications:
1. MS/PHD candidates in Biomedial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field. Note that your advisor’s approval is required.
2. Research experience in large scale data analysis and mining or web search.
3. Good programming skills.
4. Good communication skills and excellent teamwork.
5. A good knowledge in medical field and medical sensors will be a plus.
Position2:
Project Introduction
The uHealth (Ubiquitous eHealth) project aims to build user-centric & data-driven personalized eHealth software and services system platform for improving people’s quality of life and efficiency of treatment. uHealth researches how personal health data can be ubiquitously collected through body sensor networks by heterogeneous devices and into the cloud; how the data can be smartly analyzed, mined, visualized, and personalized searched; and what personalized services can be provided seamless across various devices to end users and how the uHealth ubiquitous cloud computing can be optimized among heterogeneous clients and the cloud.
Role & Responsibilities
The candidate will do research on the following (selected) area, specifically but not exclusively,
1. Sensor data collection and multi-modal data fusion
2. Data analysis, mining, and personalized search.
3. Health related data visualization.
Required Qualification
4. MS/PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineer, Biomedical Engineer or any related technical field. Having medical knowledge is a strong plus.
5. Strong background on body sensor networks, data analysis / mining / personalized search, or data visualization;
6. Good programming skills or have related project experience;
7. Good communication skills and excellent teamwork.
Good reading and written English;
