Software as a Service Center Introduction

Software as a Service Center in CDL was established in July 2008. In this
center, we have solidified and skillful team members to provide solutions,
development, testing, IT Infrastructure and Business Transformation and
services. In our brand, we have three main groups as: Managed Business
Process Services, Testing as a Service and IT as a Service, Business
Transformation and Services
The Solution Development for MBPS, GTS, is working together with WW GTS and
research organizations, providing solutions, tools, CSDP platforms and asset
development services to support MBPS business revenue. This 90-people team
established in 2006 is our core global service team for GTS in the lab.

Business Transformation and Services is supporting Global e-business
Transformation (GeT) in delivering business values through continuous
transformation and technology exploitation, to empower IBM software business
and product portfolio growth. It is organized to optimally support IBM SWG
via four key areas including SWG Infrastructure and Compliance Services, Web
Solutions, Value Chain Processes and Systems, and Business Operations by
leveraging agile application development, systems integration, and
Innovative technology showcases.

To confront the reality, with IBM’s internal demands, external customer
demands, competitive forces, and technological transformations in the IT
industry, we, CDL need a revolution of doing business and constructing IT
infrastructure. So we set up Test as a Service (TaaS) and IT as a Service
(ITaaS) competency center to build up our testing competency, and IT New
Enterprise Data Center and Green IT best practice to improve productivity
effectively and drive cost saving with shared type services. This team will
run a new business model for the lab.

In the Chinese market, we have a lot of SMB business opportunities and we
are seeking for the integrated solutions to them. So it is our business goal
to help ISVs to offer and market SaaS and then help key customers use SaaS,
by leveraging IBM new technologies and middlewares through our web
deliveries and abundant technical resources.

In this team, you will have chance to:
- Work on latest technologies and understand new business model
- Work on solutions from which you can understand how IBM different products
work together to implement customers' requirements
- Work with IBM top experts (DE,STSM) to learn from them

Job Scope:
* Industry & SOA solution development and testing of  which will cover
multi-brand of IBM products isuch as WebSphere Portal / WebSphere Process
Server / Content Manager / DB2 / Tivoli / Rational etc.
* Solution developers will involve in detail component design, code & unit
test based on design specification, participate various project meeting,
work in Agile environment and cooperate with worldwide labs for information
exchange and problem solving.
Key Attributes:
* Good education background, major in Computer Science or equivalent.
* Fluent in both spoken and writing English
* Good communication skills
* Quick learner and good team player
* Self motivated, passionate and innovative
Skills Requirements (Solution Developer)
* Proficient in Java/J2EE programming skills. Proficient in UI development
will be a strong plus.
* Experience in dojo, jsp, css will be strong plus
* Knowledge of J2EE development and architecture, Web Services, XML, Web 2.0
and database.
