Job Description
Interns for the global support service software development team participate in the development of tools to improve our customer problem analysis, customer experience, or other internal tooling.

Responsibilities
- as part of a global engineering team, write software to deliver business value to Red Hat's customer support organization
- collaborate with developers across multiple departments and technologies as part of joint projects
- work with business staff to understand requirements for features
- ensure ongoing quality of the application codebase through bugfixes, refactoring, and test automation

Requirements
- good English skills in speaking, reading and writing
- experience developing in software in Java or C++ is required
- experience with a scripting language such as python is required
- experience writing software in Linux or another UNIX environment is required
- understanding of one or more of compilers, operating systems, and algorithms is required
- ability to work in a dynamic, challenging environment is required
- experience contributing to an opensource project is strongly desired
