Job Descriptions & Responsibilities
* Conception of new machine-to-machine (M2M) application scenarios (use cases) based on prior experience and domain knowledge.
* Design, implement and integrate 3rd party M2M applications.
* Installation & integration of 3rd party sensors and sensor gateways.
* Design and implement sensor and sensor gateway emulator.
* Implement, customize and enhance NSN platform, integration of 3rd pary sensor, sensor gatway and other devices to deliver the end-to-end proof-of-concept solution.
* Consulting support for other NSN developers.
* On-site support during the trial.
* Prepare documentation and conduct presentation.
* Handover to the final results, documents and prototype to NSN.
Requirements
* Prior experience or knowledge in software development in the machine-to-machine (M2M) industry (energy management, smart grid, intelligent traffic management, fleet management, environmental monitoring, telematics, building management, vending/point-of-sale, and/or high-value asset tracking, healthcare, smart home, etc).
* Prior experience or knowledge in developing O&M (operation & maintenance) Agent, OSS (operation support system) applications and network management systems such as performance management, configuration management and fault management.
* Possess min Masters Degree in IT, Software Engineering, Computer Science/Electrical Engineering majoring in Telecommunications or similar.
* Sound knowledge and proven experiences in JMX, JMS, LDAP, RMI/IIOP, EJB, Servlet, JCA, JSF, JSP, Java SWING, JLNP, XML, Eclipse, SNMP, OSS/J, UML, BPEL, O&M Modeling Language, Java Business Integration (JBI), ETL (Extract, Transform, Load), SOA, REST (mash-ups), AJAX, JavaScript, jBPM, CORBA, Oracle 9i, IBM Websphere, JBOSS J2EE application server, JDBC, Hibernate, J2EE design patterns, CVS, SMS (i.e. SMPP), MMS (i.e. MM7).
* Experienced in cloud computing technologies Data-as-a-Service (DaaS), SaaS (Software-as-a-Service), PaaS (Platform-as-a-Service) using Amazon E2C.
* Experienced in communication protocols - sensor networks and protocols (e.g. WMMP), SMS protocol (e.g. SMPP), MMS protocols (e.g. MM7).
* Possess strong skills in Solaris, Linux, WLAN, SNMP, NAT, IP Telephony, TCP/IP network configuration and system test.
* Excellent command of English both written and oral.
* Good presentation skills.
