Job/Task Description 1
The Publications and Online Communication coordinator will support the Senior Director for Communications Europe in the implementation of online communication strategies with high focus on the Microsoft Europe website (www.microsoft.eu) and the development of Microsoft publications.

Measurable results expected from the intern:
o Website: efficient & timely upload of content to Microsoft Europe website
o Editorial Boards: as part of a production team, help maintain the smooth running and development of content. The expectation is that you manage your role well within the team, that where possible be proactive, and at all times show engagement in the content not just the production of it.
o Periodic reviewing of Microsoft Europe online presence in key journals, social networks and other online media forms
o Microsoft EU Communications Sharepoint must be kept up to date
o Futures Magazine (two issues) – timely delivery and distribution, updating the distribution database
o Proof reading any events materials
o Ensuring that the Twitter account is regularly updated with up-to-date content
o Meet all weekly priorities
Key learning points that the intern might obtain during the internship:
o The chance to work in a friendly, international environment and gain experience of working on different communications projects.
o Learning about how integrated communications fits into the strategy of a multinational company
o Living in Brussels and finding out about the EU institutions
o Handling information from different sources
o Working to tight deadlines and under pressure
o Liaising with many third parties
o Work independently and as part of a team
