Description


IT Research group at Intel in China is looking for 2 interns at Ph.D or MS level from a major university in China who is able to carry out leading-edge research and development, applying predictive analytics techniques to predictive modeling on completion time of internal computing jobs. In this position, you will be a member of a research team contributing on data processing and modeling experiments with *MS SQL script, MSAS etc. Besides, you will be expected to design and build a data cube and carry out *OLAP analysis when needed.

¿ Understand the business problems/challenges and the data used for predictive modeling
¿ Design and implement *SQL script to manipulate and process the data as needed
¿ Execute modeling experiments following the design and plan
¿ Evaluate and improve the experimental results
¿ Integrate the built models with applications
¿ Design and Build data cube when necessary
¿ Carry out *OLAP analysis with the collected data when needed


Qualifications


You must be a Ph.D or MS candidate in Computer Science or software engineering or related fields in a leading university in China and is willing to carry out your dissertation/thesis research in our lab in Beijing. Additional qualifications include:
¿ Familiar with writing *SQL script and stored procedures
¿ Familiar with *Excel *VBA and data analysis with *Excel
¿ Theoretical understanding and practical experience of data processing, data mining and predictive analysis techniques.
¿ Mastery of *Microsoft BI suite, including *MSAS, *MSIS.
¿ Highly motivated and capable of working towards set project goals and milestones
¿ Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment
¿ Good verbal and written English skills
