RA and Postdoc Opening at NTU (Singapore)
Dong Xu (dongxu AT ntu.edg.sg) 和Prof. Ivor Wai-Hung Tsang (IvorTsang AT ntu.edg.sg), 并在标题上注明RA或者Postdoc。
1) Next Generation Annotation Techniques for Consumer Photos and Videos; 2) Visual Event Recognition in News Video; 3) Transferable Kernel Machines; 4) Human Gait Recognition with Statistical Learning
(Up to S$4500/S$3500 per month for Postdoctoral Research Fellow/Research Assistant + up to three-month performance bonus per year, 1S$~=5.1RMB)。
Singapore is a small and green island. It is less crowded than Hong Kong. While it is a westernized Asian country, you won't have too much trouble if you only speak mandarin. The Singapore government plans to spend S$16.1B over 2011-2015 on research, innovation and enterprise (RIE 2015) and a few multinational IT companies like HP and Kodak have setup or plan to setup new R&D research branches in Singapore.
NTU is an internationally reputable university. It has been ranked 73rd in Times Higher Education-QS World University Rankings 2009. NTU's beautiful campus is selected as the Olympic Village for the first-ever Youth Olympic Games in 2010.
