Job description
- Greater China Systems & Technology Lab is seeking software engineers to join the NEW System z Software Development organization responsible for design, code development and test of z/OS and other System z software products. This team is an integral part of the STG System z global team and these are technically challenging and high growth opportunities. In addition, Greater China is a major contributor for Mainframe revenue and new footprints in the growth markets and our technical team will support this continued strategy.

Responsibilities:
- Follow the z/OS Software Development process regarding all related activities including Design, Code, Unit Test, Function Test and Documentation
- Code and implement high and low level designs
- Ensure that the implemented components are unit tested and ready to be integrated into the product
- Create and execute automated function test cases to validate function being delivered
- Identify and implement product requirements & improvements


Skills required:
- C/C++ or Java
- software development and testing
- debugging knowledge
- operating system knowledge

Skills preferred:
- System z (incl z/OS) environment or Unix/Linux knowledge
- Assembly language, script language like perl, shell, python etc.
- Communication skills
- Documentation skills
- Formal software development process knowledge
- Application programming using high level programming languages
- Application analytical/ debug skills
- General operating system knowledge
- Problem solving: analytical ability and creativity in using existing techniques to analyze and implement basic software solutions.
- Present oral and written information clearly
- Willing to share information and expertise with individuals and teams to enhance effectiveness.
- Work well in a team environment

- Master's Degree or above
- English: Fluent
- Be graduated in 2012
