Job Description
The software developer intern will be responsible for participating in new and on-going projects for Ericsson's IP and Broadband products, as well as for internal software tools and projects. He/She will be responsible for writing software code, technical documents, and software testing. He/She will need to communicate with other team members within China, and possibly team members in other countries.
Education Qualifications
" In progress Bachelor's or Master's degree in telecommunications engineering, computer science or equivalent. Within two years of graduation.
Competence Requirements
" Strong software development skills in at least one of the following languages: C, C++, or Java and at least one of the following scripting languages: Python, Perl, Tcl
" Experience with open source projects a plus
" Curious mindset, independent thinker and love of learning new ideas and technologies
" Strong work ethic and ability to work with little direction
" Strong communication skills, good written and verbal English skills
" Experience with at least one large software development project
" Development experience with Linux OS and/or Windows OS
" Knowledge of telecommunications and networking a plus
