Communications Server for z/OS(zCS) provides the networking support for the z/OS operating system, which is IBM's strategic operating system for the mainframe. Our organization is part of zCommServ development team with focus to be on development of the new functions and L3 support for old releases.
We are seeking for long term intern candidates with strong technical skills and passion here, 2 for zCS FTP development/FV/L3 and 1 for CA for zCS
We expect the intern candidates can quickly build the ability to work as developers/L3 programmers or functional verification testers, which may include but not limited with
- development/L3 work
produce and use design documentation
develop high quality software
ensure complete Unit test for code
diagnose and recreate customer's problems
find fix and give solution to customer's prbolems
- functional verification work
analysis requirement and design document, generate test plan and test strategy
design test cases, prepare test programs and execute test cases
ensure the quality level of the component meet the quality plan
Technical skills requirements for zCS FTP Dev/FVT/L3 intern:
1) strong programming skills with C/C++
2) solid experience on TCP/IP protocol and applications such as FTP, Telnet, DHCP, SMTP or RPC
3) experience on product/application development or testing on z/OS is a plus
4) experience on assembler programming or PL/X is a plus
5) knowledge on other IBM products on z/OS (such as CICS, DB2, MQ) is a plus
Technical skills requirements for CA for zCS Dev/FVT intern:

NonTechnical Qualities:
1) Postgraduate in grade two (who will get master degree in the year 2012)

5) can start internship from July, 2011 and work full time at least for half a year.
