A hedge fund career talk will be delivered by Pine River Capital Management at 14:00~16:00 on Friday (5/20) in Weilun Building(伟伦楼) 501 of Tsinghua University. The speakers:
Steve Kuhn, Partner – Head of Fixed Income Trading. Steve manages Fixed Income Trading and is the lead Portfolio Manager for the Nisswa Fixed Income Fund. Prior to joining Pine River in 2008, Steve was a Portfolio Manager at Goldman Sachs Asset Management based in New York and Beijing from 2002 to 2007, where he was part of a team that managed approximately $40 billion in mortgage backed securities. While he was in Beijing, he provided training to sovereign wealth fund clients. From 1999 to 2002, Steve was a Japanese convertible bond trader at Citadel Investment Group in Chicago. Prior to that, he was head of mortgage backed securities trading at Cargill in Minnetonka, MN. Steve received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with Honors from Harvard University in 1991.
Ke Yin – General Manager of Beijing Office. Ke joined Pine River from Amherst Securities Group where he conducted MBS and ABS research beginning in 2009. From 2008 to 2009, Ke was a Mortgage Strategist at Goldman Sachs in New York where he authored non-Agency RMBS research and generated trade strategies for institutional clients. From 2007 to 2008, he was an ABS Credit Analyst at UBS in the MBS/ABS Research Group. From 2006 to 2007, Ke was a Mortgage Quantitative Analyst at RBS Greenwich Capital. Ke is earning a Master of Business Administration degree in Finance from the Stern School of Business at New York University. He earned a Doctorate in Philosophy in Computer Science in 2007, a Master of Science in Statistics in 2004 and a Master of Science in Computer Science in 2003 from the University of Albany. Ke earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry in 1999 from Peking University.
