1. MTS Intern - Server BU – C/Linux kernel
  
VMware is seeking talented Computer Science or Computer Engineering interns to join our Beijing ESX kernel networking team. Your duties will include:
-Research and study networking optimizer applications and solutions.
-Tuning Linux/Unix OS kernel for high-performance networking applications.
-Design and implement algorithm for data deduction.  
-Design and develop system prototypes.
-Do kernel networking development.
  
Requirements
-Must have solid experience and knowledge in Linux kernel.
-Programming languages: C and C++
-Networking knowledge, familiarity with TCP/IP protocols.
-Excellent written and verbal English communications and organization skills
  
2. MTS Intern – OS/perl/Mysql
  
VMware is seeking talented Computer Science or Computer Engineering interns to join our RND team. As one of our R&D Engineers, you will be responsible for developing & maintain the Product Support tracking system and coordinating of Campus Training Courses related to the products Beijing RND owned. This includes system design, code development and implementation, system trial and maintenance, prepare and support the Campus Training Course, deliver the training and promote VMware in the Universities. You will work closely with other developers/quality engineers and have good opportunity to touch the key products in Beijing RND.  
  
Responsibilities:  
-Design, develop and maintain the Product Support tracking system.  
-Coding with Perl/CGI and interact with the database (MySQL).
-Support the Campus Training Courses, prepare the training materials and facilitate the training activities in Campus.  
-Promote VMware in Campus.  
  
Requirements:  
-Majoring in Computer Science or related is required  
-Able to work full-time for 6 months or longer  
-Linux/Unix and Windows environments and OS knowledge  
-Working knowledge and hands-on coding experience in one or more of the following programming: Perl, Java, MySQL
-Good troubleshooting and debugging skills to find the root cause  
-Excellent written and verbal English communications and organization skills  
-Experience with Web Service is a big plus  
-Experience with industrial tool writing is a big plus  
-Networking configuration/setup hands-on experience is a plus
  
3. Zimbra MTS intern – Java Web
  
Responsibilities:
-6 month internship with Zimbra China Team
-Work on Zimbra zimlet development
-Assit the manager with the China R&D site work
Requirements:
-Strong web development experience using Java/Javascript/JSP/HTML/CSS
-Experience with Linux System administration experience
  
4. QA Intern – Perl/OS
  
5. IT intern – 非研发类职位
  
Responsibilities:  
- Assist in asset and inventory management  
- Assist and track new hire hardware handout  
- Follow up and record TechOps order delivery  
- Coordinate loaner equipments  
- Install standard image for laptop or desktop  
- Coordinate Dell technical support in responding to desktop hardware issue  
  
Requirements:  
- Majoring in IT/IS Management, or Business Administration, or related  
- Graduate student, first year or second year; good remarks in college years (before graduate school)  
- Able to work at least 4 days a week for a six month period or longer  
- Good communication ability in mandarin and English  
- Able to work within team environment  
- Fundamental knowledge of Windows Operating Systems (2000, XP, Vista, Windows 7); able to install and configure an operating system and its hardware  
- Understand PC hardware and its peripherals (memory, hard disk, storage, USB, KVM, etc)  
- Proficiency in using Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
