Abstract:
In this talk we discuss inverse optimal control for the case where only the output measurements are available. By considering the inverse problem as an identification problem, the focus of the talk is to show that its model structure is strictly globally identifiable under the assumption of system invertibility. Consequently, one can establish in the case of noiseless data a necessary and sufficient condition for the solvability of a positive semidefinite weighting matrix and its unique solution can obtained under the condition of persistent excitation. Furthermore, a residual optimization problem can be formulated to solve a best-fit approximate cost function from corrupted observations.
