Control system is a family of smooth dynamical systems defined on a state\ space\ M. The family is parametrized by a control parameter u\in U, where U can be any set. It is allowed to switch from one dynamics in the family to another one at any time and to do it any number of times. The control system is exactly\ (approximately)\ controllable if we can get (approximate arbitrarily well) any state q_1\in M from any initial state q_0\in M by an appropriate choice of the switchings. In this series of lectures, I plan to describe effective tools which allow us to check the controllability of big systems with small sets of control parameters. The Navier--Stokes and Euler equations of the Mathematical Fluid Dynamics controlled by a degenerate forcing and their finite dimensional approximations are going to be main examples.
