M365 Big Data team is hiring software engineers to work on big data pipeline and dataset for Office/Windows worldwide. Hundreds of millions of global customers use Microsoft products every day, hundreds of Microsoft products, applications and service running every day. The engineering, telemetry and signals, datasets behind this are at world’s largest scale: 500+ PB. Our team is responsible to define the unified data concept cross whole Office/Windows/Browser products; deliver large scale, highly aggregated, lower cost and compliant dataset to Office team broadly. We span our portfolio for Microsoft world-class products (M365, Windows, Browser) and workload (ExchangeOnline, SharePoint, Teams, Skype, etc.) and applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, OutlookMobile, etc.), target is 100% coverage. We also collaborate with data scientists/product teams/sales/marketing teams to gain more product insights, maximize customer value, and reduce cost, grow business. Our mission is to deliver the data necessary to grow the Office business.

Responsibilities
Your responsibilities include:
o Design and build highly efficient, reliable, lower cost data processing platform.
o Design and build high quality, unified schema dataset cross Office.
o Design and build telemetry, monitoring system to guarantee high quality and SLA dataset.
o Ensure Office/Windows/Browser Common dataset meet compliance requirement (GDPR, DMOJ, etc.).
o Work with Office/Windows/Browser product teams in different geo location to onboard data into common dataset.
o Support downstream team in different geo location to consume common dataset.
o Research, analyze, and investigate optimization opportunities on Microsoft Big Data.
o Ensure Office/Windows/Browser capacity stay in allocated quota by optimization in both storage and processing.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate must have:
o  BS or MS degree in Computer Science or related field
o  Solid Computer Science fundamentals
o  Solid coding skills (no language restrictions)
o Solid problem analysis and solving skills.
o Strong communication skills. (Good written English, Avg+ oral English).
o  Accountable and proactive.
o Good Cross-team collaboration skills is a plus.
o  Datamining and data pipeline knowledge is a plus.

候选人最好是海外留学或985/211的正规全日制本科或硕士毕业后知名公司工作满1年以上，有编程建模竞赛得奖，leetcode排名或个人技术兴趣项目等。英文要听说读写熟练。工作认真负责，积极主动，能够快速学习，解决问题，团队合作能力良好。并且请确保在过去半年内，您没有在微软中国面试失败过，而且没有其他微软员工已帮您做过内部推荐。
  
微软面试流程:若简历合格,会有一小时电话面试,若通过,会有三轮技术面试,如通过,会有1-2轮lead面,然后二线经理面。每轮一小时(视频,共享桌面,用你熟悉的编辑器和语言写代码,要能编译)。社招面试抽查算法和之前项目经验,解决问题和沟通能力。务必做足准备,可以在谈面试日期时留出几天准备,leetcode中等难度的题至少刷200道,注意代码风格及效率,测试用例要全。~70%的候选人在第一轮就失败了。
