Belgian Hanne Desmet shines in her Olympic debut
The Belgian short track speed skater Hanne Desmet made an impression at the Winter Olympics. In what was her Olympic debut the 25-year-old that lives in Mechelen (Antwerp Province) made it through to the final of the 500 metres event. Despite finishing 5th (and last) in the final she and the other members of Team Belgium will be very pleased with her performance.
