Wade Andrew Williams (born December 24, 1961) is an American actor who currently has a starring role as Captain Brad Bellick on Fox's television series Prison Break.
Biography
Early life
Williams and his three siblings were born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma. As a youth, Williams was interested in drama and music, originating from his involvement at church. However, he did not intend to pursue acting as a career. Upon graduating from high school, Williams was set to study medicine at the University of Tulsa. His interest in music and drama never waned and eventually, he decided to switch career paths. Williams completed his Bachelor’s degree in theatrical studies at University of Tulsa and later obtained a Master of Fine Arts in acting from Rutgers Mason Gross School of the Arts where he studied under William Esper. He lives in Texas with his wife and daughter.
Career
Williams as Brad Bellick in Prison BreakBeginning his acting career at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park in The Taming of the Shrew with Morgan Freeman and Tracy Ulman, Williams also had a role with Denzel Washington in Richard III. Williams then continued with performances on and off Broadway and toured nationally in productions such as Guys and Dolls, Les Miserables, Kiss of the Spiderwoman, Ragtime, and Showboat.
His film credits include Flicka, Jarhead, Collateral, Ali, and Erin Brockovich. Additionally, Williams also appeared on television in series such as Over There, Six Feet Under, 24, NYPD Blue, CSI and as Father Cronin on The Bernie Mac Show. He is ironically imprisoned in his own facility.
