Q: What is Prison Break about?
A: It's mainly about a man trying to break his brother out of jail (easy eno
ugh to figure out from the name) and trying to uncover the conspiracy that l
anded him in jail.
Q: How old is Michael? Lincoln?
A: Michael, according to the show's timeline, was 11 when his mother died in
1985, making him 31 years old as of right now (Birthday in September). Linc
oln, was 15 when their mother died, making him either 35 or 36 right now, de
pending on what month his birthday falls under.
Q: Why are Michael's and Lincoln's last names different?
A: When the Lincoln was little and before Michael had even been born, their
father left them. Lincoln kept his last name (Burrows), while Michael kept h
is mother's maiden name, 'Scofield'.
Q: Why does Michael have those tattoos?
A: Michael, being a structural engineer, was involved with redesigning Fox R
iver Penitentiary. He kept the building plans and studied them exhaustively
before entering the prison. As an aid, he hid these plans in a tattoo that h
e got. To others, it merely looks like a normal tattoo. But Michael can "rea
d" the tattoo like a map of Fox River, greatly helping him in his escape pla
ns.
Q: Why is Michael called 'Fish'?
A:The first prison housing was called the 'Fish Tank'.
F.I.S.H. actually stands for First Institutional Stress Housing. After a pri
soner has passed his/her medical check up and been classified, the inmate is
moved to another prison or cell in another section of the prison yard and i
s technically not a fish anymore.
Q: Why is Lincoln nicknamed 'The Sink'?
A: Lincoln is known to be a tough, hard fighter among the cons at Fox River.
Usually, when someone comes at you, they give you "everything but the kitch
en sink". Lincoln, or 'Linc', gives off more of an effort than that and is r
eferred to as the "sink". Hence, "Linc(k) the Sink".
Q: Why is David Apolskis called 'Tweener'?
A: He is considered to be neither part of the blacks or whites and is seen a
s an 'in-betweener', hence the nickname, 'Tweener'.
Q: Why is Benjamin Miles Franklin called 'C-Note'?
A: A 'C-Note' is another name for the American $100 bill. Benjamin shares hi
s name with the name of the man pictured on the bill, Benjamin Franklin.
Q: Why is Theodore Bagwell called 'T-Bag'?
A: 'T-Bag' is named from his first initial and the first three letters from
his last name. 'T-Bag', however, is also sexual innuendo describing a certai
n act between two sex partners, which involves the "dropping of baggage into
the hangar", if you know what I mean.
Q: What does 'SHU' stand for?
A: Solitary Housing Unit, a place where prisoners are sent as a punishment,
and will remain isolated there for an assigned period of time.
Q: Why do people hold T-Bag's pockets?
A: It is a symbol of T-Bag having power over them, and having that person be
his personal 'bitch'. Crazy one, that T-Bag.
Q: Since Michael and the cons ended up using the hole in Michael's cell to e
scape, why did they dig a hole in the guards' break room?
A: They had to break out sooner than planned. They were originally going to
go through the hole in the break room during P.I. (which they would get to f
rom the hole in Michael's cell) to get to the infirmary and pretty much stay
underground the whole time, but because Bellick found the hole and Westmore
land threw him down into it, they had to leave quickly before anyone else ca
ught on. So they left through the hole in the cell instead. The hole helped
Michael to get his things from the storeroom and to also set up the rope in
the chamber under the maintenance room. Originally, the crew was going to es
cape directly from the CO's break room, in PI hours, but as we know, that we
nt wrong when the the pipe under the infirmary was replaced. Of course the h
ole eventually served other purposes for Michael, like saving Tancredi's lif
e, messing up the electric chair with a rat, rescuing Westmoreland's cat and
, at the end, being a part of the actual escape, but none of this was planne
d from the beginning.
Q: What happened to Sara, why was she on the couch like that?
A: Sara, as you may remember, is a recovering morphine addict. She had been
clean for awhile, but the stress of doing something morally wrong like letti
ng Michael and the other cons escape led her to succomb to her morphine crav
ing yet again---except this time, she may have gone too far. She overdosed,
and she was rendered unconcious or possibly dead.
Q: Is Sara dead?
A: Nope, she is very much alive.
Q: Was this the end of season one or two?
A: This was the end of season one. There is a common misconception that this
was the end of season two, stemming from the fact that FOX decided that it
would cease showing Prison Break over the winter to make room for the shows
24 and American Idol.
Q: Was episode 22 the last one of the season?
A: Yes, 22 episodes were ordered, just as there are 22 ordered for next seas
on.
Q: When does season two start and what is it called?
A: Season two is set to film beginning June 15th in Dallas and may be called
"Prison Break: The Manhunt", or simply, "Manhunt", though it may just stick
to "Prison Break". It is set to air August 21st (US) and January 2007 (UK).
Q: What is season two about?
A: Season two will be about the life of the inmates on the run and the concu
rrent manhunt for them.
Q: Was that the House, M.D. theme song playing in the background at the end
of the episode, "Tonight"?
A: The Song used at the end of Season 1 and the theme to House, M.D. is "Tea
rdrop" by Massive Attack. It wasn't created for either show and was on their
3rd album "Mezzanine" and on PURE MOODS, Vol. 2 both released in 1998.
Q: What does (insert prison slang term here) mean?
A: Use this site:
http://dictionary.prisonwall.org/ It's a dictionary of jus
t about every prison term you could think of.
Q: When does the season one DVD come out?
A: The tentative date is set for August 8th.
Q: Where can I download the theme song for Prison Break?
A: I found this nice little site:
http://mythemes.tv/Q: There's some music that I heard on Prison Break, but it's not a real song
done by an artist, just something from the PB soundtrack. Can I get it with
out waiting for the actual soundtrack to come out?
A: I have written a detailed tutorial about ripping the music which you can
view here:

(Season 1)?
A: Check out the Wikipedia article on it here:
