美国锡拉丘兹大学（雪城大学）和清华大学学生交友会
时间：2011年1月19日下午两点
地点：清华大学紫荆22号楼10层中厅（有变化再通知）
内容：美国锡拉丘兹大学（雪城大学）的学生第一次来中国，清华大学的学生帮助他们用英文介绍学校的概况，并带领他们买自行车、手机等用品。在学期中，可以互相练习英文和中文，一起交友出游等。
人数：清华大学学生 10-15名
要求：清华大学的学生能够用英语进行简单的交流，可以熟悉校园网英文网页的关于学校和各个主要建筑或景区的简介，并可以和学生交流思想，尽量避免较偏激的思想和行为，注意维护大学和自己的形象。自愿和美国学生交往，互相提高知识水平和思想认识。

美国锡拉丘兹大学（雪城大学）位于美国纽约州，Maxwell 学院的公管专业在美国居前三名，2006年1月和清华大学人文学院合作，每年派遣留学生来中国学习一个学期。2011年秋季学期有20名学生，他们来清华大学学习汉语和用英语开设的中国文化、历史、政治、新闻、环境、经济、公管等专业知识，目的是加强美国学生对中国文化的了解和认识。他们大部分都是大二、三或四的学生。专业有：东亚研究、国际关系、文学艺术、财会、金融、传媒以及环境等学科。他们有的不会说汉语，有的学过两个或三、四个学期，但是汉语水平也不是很强。他们喜欢和清华大学的学生交朋友，有助于他们了解中国学生的思想和学习生活等情况。
