1 All applications to participate in the Game must be made on the official
electronic entry form. The participation is free.
2 Only one application will be accepted per person. Each application must
have a different team name and must comply with these Terms and Conditions
and the Rules. Incorrect or incomplete applications will not be accepted. The
computer record of the application will be the application. Applications must
adhere to the format outlined in ‘Rules’. Any application not adhering to
this format or incomplete applications will be deemed invalid. Union des
Associations Européennes de Football (“UEFA”) is not responsible for
applications information or results lost or delayed in the course of
transmission.
3 Acceptance of entry to the Game is at the discretion of UEFA.
4 Participants under 18 years of age must seek parental permission before
participating in the Game.
5 The decisions of UEFA relating to any matter in connection with the Game,
in all prize matters or relating to any dispute arising shall be final and in
UEFA’s sole discretion. No correspondence shall be entered into.
6 All winners will be notified by email. The winner’s name will be published
on the home page of the Game. It is a condition of the Game that the winner
and his or her guest hold a valid passport. UEFA has the right not to
allocate prizes to Participants under 18 years.
7 All details of the prizes and in particular the terms of their attribution
and use will be provided by notification to winner. No interest will be paid
on any prizes. Participants cannot request cash alternative or substitution
of any prize. UEFA at its sole discretion reserves the right to substitute a
prize of greater or equal value if any prize cannot be awarded as described
due to unavailability. Prize winners (and travel companions) may be required,
as a condition of winning and redeeming a prize, to sign a liability release
and/or a publicity release and or any applicable forms requested by
authorities. Failure to do so may result in disqualification and forfeiture
of the stated prize.
8 All winners will be notified by email. A list of the prizes is available on
the Game website. Prizes pictured in Game materials are for illustration
purposed only. Actual prizes may vary from the prize pictured.
9 UEFA reserves the right to refuse to accept team names that are considered
by UEFA in its sole discretion to be inappropriate or offensive. Unsuitable
names will be deleted and the team will appear under a default name supplied
by UEFA. Please bear this in mind when you name your team.
10 The players on the player list have been included by UEFA. The
classification and values of the players on the list have been set by UEFA
and are arbitrary. No correspondence will be entered into relating to details
of the player list the inclusion or non-inclusion of the individual players
or their allocated value. UEFA will not accept the inclusion into a team of
any player not on the published list.
11 Participants may make changes during the season in accordance with the
Rules and these Terms and Conditions. Such changes will only be accepted via
the official electronic form and must be made by the stated time for each
Matchday displayed on the home page to take effect for that day; any changes
made after that time, unless a further change is made before the stated time
for the following Matchday fixture in accordance with these Terms and
Conditions and the Rules, will not take effect until the following Matchday.
UEFA takes no responsibility for the processing of substitutions, transfers,
or captain denominations or for technical problems that may prevent
substitution, transfer or captain denominations requests from taking effect
and no liability shall fall on UEFA and no correspondence will be entered
into. UEFA is not responsible for the processing of requests for
substitutions, transfers or captain denominations and no liability falls on
UEFA if your substitutions, transfers or captain denominations are not
processed.
12 The software of the Game is the copyright material and property of ISM
Fantasy Games. No information or data in relation to the software of the Game
may be reproduced in any format or used in any way without the prior written
consent of ISM. ISM shall be entitled to withhold consent at its sole
discretion.
13 Any and all rights in relation to the UEFA Champions League are the sole
and exclusive property of UEFA. No information or data may be reproduced in
any format or used in any way without the prior written consent of UEFA. UEFA
shall be entitled to withhold consent at its sole discretion.
14 UEFA has appointed ISM as its service provider to develop, implement and
support the Game and to maintain and update the Game website. UEFA hereby
confirms that ISM shall be entitled to act on behalf of UEFA in relation to
all organisational and administrative aspects of the Game. In case of
contradictory instructions by UEFA and ISM, the instructions of UEFA will
prevail.
15 The Game is not open to employees of UEFA and ISM (and/or any associated
companies of UEFA and ISM) , their relatives, agents or agents' relatives or
any employees of companies involved in the development or support of the Game
website.
16 Details of players available, and updated team lists will be published on
the Game website.
17 Informative and explanatory material relating to the Game including
instructions for this competition form part of these Terms and Conditions.
The scoring system and Rules form part of these Terms and Conditions.
18 UEFA reserves the right to introduce new facilities or leagues to enhance
the Game. Details of such introductions will be published on the Game website
and will amend or vary these Terms and Conditions and the Rules and take
effect from the date upon which such details are published on the Game
website.
19 UEFA reserves the right to refuse any entry or to accept any application
which, in UEFA’s sole discretion, does not comply with the Rules and these
Terms and Conditions or contravenes the spirit of the Game. It is also at UEFA
’s sole discretion to suspend a Participant, disqualify any entry, to vary,
amend or waive the Rules of the Game at any time or to cancel the Game at any
time in the event of circumstances arising beyond UEFA’s control or which
make it desirable to do so. The Participants agree that no liability shall
attach to UEFA as a result thereof and that the exercise of such discretion
shall not result in any compensation being payable or paid to any Participant
or other person. It is a condition of entry and participation in the Game
that all rules and UEFA’s decisions in relation to any matter relating to
this Game are accepted as final.
20 UEFA shall in no event be liable for any expenses incurred in reliance
upon the notification of the winning or direct, indirect or consequential
damages arising out of the participation in the Game.
21 Entry constitutes permission for UEFA and any third party authorised by
UEFA to use the names, team selections and photographs of Participants at its
discretion, for publicity purposes.
22 Any legal dispute between you and UEFA in relation to the Game shall be
governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Switzerland. Place
of jurisdiction shall be Nyon. UEFA shall also be at liberty to enforce its
rights and to take legal action in any competent court at your domicile.
23 These Terms and Conditions have been drafted in English and translated
into other languages (including Portuguese, French, German, Spanish and
Italian) and are available on
http://www.uefa.com. The Participant
acknowledges and agrees that he/she has read and understood these Terms and
Conditions and that he/she is fully aware of the rights and obligations
arising therefrom. In the event of any discrepancy between the English and
translated texts, the English text shall be used to solve doubts of
interpretation and application.
