CHELSEA are preparing a ￡15million New Year bid for Tottenham striker Jermain
Defoe.

Blues boss Jose Mourinho wants the England international to partner Didier
Drogba in a little and large combination at Stamford Bridge.

And Mourinho is ready to make a double-your-money offer to the Premiership
leaders’ London rivals. Defoe cost Spurs only ￡7m when he joined from West
Ham in January.

The player still has four years left on his ￡25,000- a-week White Hart Lane
contract but would jump at the opportunity to join the Chelsea revolution.
