West Bromwich Albion manager Bryan Robson has made Argentine midfielder Matias
Almeyda his first signing, according to reports.

The 31-year-old joins the Baggies on a free from Serie A club Brescia, where his
contract was cancelled by mutual consent after a falling out with the club.

Almeyda began his career with River Plate before moving to Spanish side Sevilla
and then joining Italians Lazio, where he won the double in 2000.

Robson is keen to reshape the West Brom squad and Almeyda could be the first of
many new signings during the January transfer window.
