Pirlo on track for Old Trafford

AC Milan playmaker Andrea Pirlo should be fit to face Manchester United FC in
the UEFA Champions League first knockout round as the knee injury he
sustained in Italy's friendly against Russia on Wednesday is not as serious
as first thought.

Relief after scans
The 25-year-old underwent scans and the results showed a crushed meniscus of
his right knee but no twists or fractures. He has already started
rehabilitation.

Old Trafford target
Pirlo will miss the Serie A games against Reggina Calcio on Sunday and
Cagliari Calcio the following week but is expected to return in time for
Milan's visit to Old Trafford on 23 February, with the decider on 8 March.
