Govou back for Bremen tie

LyonSidney Govou is expecting to be fit for Lyon's UEFA Champions League tie
with Werder Bremen.

The Lyon captain suffered a thigh injury during the club's surprise French
Cup elimination to Clermont-Ferrand on Tuesday.

It was initially thought that the attacker could require several weeks on the
sidelines, after Govou admitted to being pessimistic about the injury.

But medical tests have shown that the forward's injury is nowhere near as
serious as he believed and he may be back in less than a week.

Govou will be absent for this week's Ligue 1 clash with Caen but should
return for next week's European tussle with Werder Bremen, with Lyon taking a
3-0 lead into the second leg.
