Héctor extends Riazor stay

RC Deportivo La Coru?a central defender Héctor Berenguel has agreed a
two-year contract extension.

Key figure
The Galician club had been keen to agree new terms with the 30-year-old as he
would have been free to leave the Riazor on a free transfer at the end of the
season. Héctor has been a key figure for coach Javier Irureta since the
departure of Nourredine Naybet to Tottenham Hotspur FC in the summer.

Offers rebuffed
Héctor said: "I've always wanted to remain here, so offers from other clubs
have fallen on deaf ears. I feel attached to both the club and the fans."
