Dr. Yiming Qian is an Assistant Professor in the department of computer science at the University of Manitoba, Canada. His group currently has several research openings for both Master and PhD students, starting from Fall 2022. Dr. Qian’s research areas include Computer Vision, Computational Imaging and Deep Learning. Dr. Qian has hands-on experiences on both physics-driven and data-driven methodologies for tackling various research problems such as 3D modeling, augmented reality, sensor fusion, image manipulation. Beyond Computer Vision, he is also interested in the Internet of Things, with a focus on using smartphone sensors for indoor localization. See more on Dr. Qian’s research at

Both Master and PhD students will be able to get full scholarships, which will be sufficient to cover the tuition and living expenses throughout the studies. Master program will be 2 years and PhD program will be 4 years.
