The list of people who haven't done it is long and impressive. To name a few:
Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan and Shaquille O'Neal.
On Monday the NBA announced that Timberwolves forward Kevin Garnett was named
the Western Conference Player of the Month. Garnett -- who averaged 25.6
points, 13.7 rebounds and five assists per game during February -- has won
the award for three consecutive months, something nobody else has done since
the league began the award in 1979-80.
Only one other player -- O'Neal -- has won the award three times in the same
season (1999-2000).
Garnett leads the NBA in rebounding (14.0), is fourth in scoring (24.7), 10th
in blocks (2.23) and minutes played (39.8) and is 13th in field-goal shooting
accuracy (49.4 percent). He had 13 double-doubles in 15 February games.
