法国阿维森纳(Avicenne)医院重症科室负责人伊夫·科昂(Yves Cohen)教授表示，在对巴黎附近地区尚维迪耶医院(Jean-Verdier)和阿维森纳医院(Avicenne)去年12月到今年1月期间24份病人样本的检测中发现，其中一名去年12月27日住院的病人结果呈阳性。之前，法国在1月24日报告首例新冠肺炎确诊病例。根据科昂教授3日的说法，法国境内出现新冠肺炎确诊病例的时间提前近一个月。
COVID-19 first appeared in France on December 27, 2019, said Yves Cohen, head of intensive care at Avicenne hospital in Paris in an interview with local media on Sunday. He said his medical team has revisited test results of 24 patients with respiratory infections who tested negative for flu and other kinds of coronavirus from December to January, and among them, one male patient showed positive results for COVID-19. The patient was hospitalized on December 27 at Jean-Verdier in Bondy, he added, a month before the previous first case was confirmed, which was on January 24.
