Software Engineer - OpenShift Release Tooling

职位描述：
The Red Hat OpenShift Engineering Automated Release Tooling team is looking for a Software Engineer in Beijing, China. In this role, you will work as a member of a small team responsible for creating, operating, improving, and maintaining the systems used to build, test, and release Red Hat OpenShift. You’ll become familiar with the build system to ensure that releases and critical fixes of our offerings are delivered on time to customers. As a Software Engineer, you will identify areas of improvement by thoroughly analyzing build results and later create instrumentation for automatic error and latency discovery. You’ll need to be eager to grow in a supportive environment and excited to learn the skills required for success. You'll also need to be smart, friendly, motivated, collaborative, curious, and passionate about process improvement and automation.


Primary Job Responsibilities

Operate build systems
Investigate, debug, and provide guidance for fixing failing builds
Integrate new components into a build system
Support quality engineering (QE) teams
Support development teams’ testing builds
Demo automation improvements
Document build processes



Required Skills

Experience with Jenkins pipelines
Experience working with and debugging complex interconnected systems
Proficient in building Python command-line interface (CLI) applications
Solid proficiency with container build and runtime software applications
Experience with Git and working in teams on GitHub
Solid proficiency with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or Fedora Linux-based operating systems
Experience with the Golang programming language
Experience maintaining Jenkins or similar continuous integration (CI) systems
