We are currently seeking a Director of Sales responsible for creating new business opportunities in the Ecommerce space for our organization in Greater China. A successful candidate will lead a team responsible for capturing untapped business opportunities related to the ecommerce vertical, for both import and export into China (Amazon, eBay, Aliexpress, etc).
ResponsiblitiesWith the objective of identifying and exploring services that can feasibly be developed via external outsourcing companies , The Business Solutions Director will be responsible for leading the solution execution , according and compliant to the company's execution process framework, including
Explore business solutions and services that are not being offered by our existing platform.
·Defining the scope of these projects (eg Business Requirement Document) including all aspects of initial delivery and the ongoing maintenance of such solutions.
·Presenting the scope for feasibility and for an approval discussion with the Product Management , Engineering team, IT teams and all relevant stakeholders
If approved by the relevant exec committee , Lead the vendor selection process – including RFP , SOW, build and maintenance contracts. This includes negotiating with 3rd party providers (eg for merchant services – local acquirors) to bundle / integrate with our various product / services
·If approved by the relevant exec committee , the Business Solutions Director shall lead the engagement of the project with software contractors / outsourcing firms including:
- Leading the bidding process for the project (we have existing frameworks)
- Managing the ongoing developments and deliverables
- Managing ongoing enhancements with software contractors / outsourcing firms
- Collaborating with the product management , engineering, IT and all other relevant teams to define supporting and ongoing resources necessary (eg. APIs, enhanced security, maintenance, etc)
·Initial Projects / Ownership
- The primary goal and objective - Merchant Processing Product for the Greater China region (CN / HK / TW) –
- Payoneer Partner Directory for China
- Financial Supermarkets – offshore referral program to banks for off the shelf financial products and services such as money market investments and other short-term investment
·Main Interfaces with Product Management
With That Said It Is Essential That There Is Full Alignment And Consistency Of The Tailored Solutions With Key Payoneer Product Aspects In The Following Areas, That IncludeThe Business Solutions Director should take full ownership of the assignments and projects under her responsibility.
- Initial delivery (build) - Payoneer branding and look & feel, quality, Legal, regulation, security, localization, data privacy, reliability, change management, user management and authentication, communication channels, data usage
- Maintenance/ Ongoing Operations (operate)- Reliability/ SLA, physical systems, Ops, CC, Payoneer ownership, changes, troubleshooting, vendor commitment longevity, admin tools
As such the following interfaces and guidelines should be maintained:
- The Business Solutions Director's onboarding plan should also be approved by Director / VP product level
- The Business Solutions Director should maintain weekly meetings with a designated product manager ( to be assigned by Director / VP product) per project
- The Business Solutions Director should review and get approval of a new project with a director level product manager before proceeding to next steps in the execution cycle as defined above
The Business Solutions Director should review and get approval of a director-level product manager as part of readiness to rollout and completion of a project ( in order to assure that all steps have been taken)
Performance ObjectivesRevenue growth, churn, and leadership of the China business
Collection, design, and On-time delivery of China-focused successful innovations (products / services) that deliver clear benefits to customers in China
Adoption rate of newly released features w/ feedback from customers
Professional Experience & Qualifications
·10+ years of business development experience
·5+ years in the payment industry
·Preferred: product management experience
·Demonstrable knowledge of managing multiple concurrent development projects through the full product/software life cycle
·Strong understanding of e-commerce, social media, retail inventory management, search engine marketing, and web analytics.
·Experience with Agile development processes, particularly in a Software as a Service (SaaS) environment.
·Experience managing an e-commerce operation, or interactive marketing, a plus.
·Energetic self-starter, entrepreneurial spirit. Experience starting and leading new initiatives.
·Excellent communication skills
·Must enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic, and fluid environment, and be able to think strategically and independently.
·Ability to work with and indirectly lead a spectrum of teams from engineering to marketing to sales.
·Willing to be based in Shanghai and travel as needed.
·Fluency in English & Chinese a must (spoken & written).
·Unquestioned work ethics and personal and professional judgment.
·Top tier global institution is a requirement. Combination of engineering and MBA degrees from prominent institutions is a big plus
