SUSE’s Quality Assurance department is distributed across the major engineering locations in Germany, the Czech Republic and China. We work in collaboration across teams and the SUSE organization. Together we demand highest quality SUSE Linux products.
Objective of the role
Becoming technical experts of SUSE products, you will work within QA Scrum team by cooperate with SUSE Labs Kernel and developers in globally to deliver qualified tests for good coverage and automation program.
Location: Beijing, China
Focus Area
o You will work in Agile scrum team for Quality assurance for SUSE Linux products mainly on SLE Kernel general Performance by cooperating with project team and developer team; Extending SLES performance measurement and macro benchmarks to cover for such HPC, AI, Machine Learning industry fields using, so design test workload to closer customer real usage is one objective, Develop and maintain new benchmark tools to cover new field and new architecture, integrate tools to automation framework to achieve Continuous Integration Test process is one duty.
o You will analyze and report test issue/result for SLES Performance quality by statistics, which run from difference test environment/workload, architecture and Intel and AMD processors include new generation
o You may need sharing responsibility to support other test project in Public Cloud or HPC.
o You will engage in postmortem and contribute to process and tool chain enhancement.
o You will contribute to documentation of Design, Plan, Report; Knowledge or experience sharing in presentation session or conference is expected.
About You
- Experience on both QA and software development
- Expertise in C and at least one script language(Perl, Python, Shell) programming
- Familiarity with Linux administration, Kernel knowledge is preferred
- Experience on Benchmarks and statistics especially performance measurement on Computing field is highly preferred
- Knowledge or experience on any HPC/AI/ML customer scenario is preferred
- Familiar with development tools like jira, bugzilla, github, gcc
- Good understanding of automation infrastructure and CI tools
- Good communication skills and fluent in verbal and written English
