The Red Hat OpenShift Quality Engineering (QE) team is looking for a Software Quality Engineer with passion for open source software to join us in Beijing, China. In this role, you will help us build Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, a system built on container technology and the Kubernetes cluster management system that is changing how development is done. You'll be responsible for all aspects of quality for Red Hat OpenShift, including designing test plans, extending existing automation frameworks, and developing new automated tests for both back and front ends. You will execute performance, scalability, and resiliency tests on Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes and analyze the results. You will make sure our solutions fulfill the highest possible enterprise quality, performance, usability, and supportability standards. As a Software Quality Engineer, you will gain deep technical understanding of a variety of popular technologies, including containers, Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift, etc.
Primary Job Responsibilities：
* Develop automation framework and scripts with Ruby or Golang for automation testing and implementation
* Participate in the test planning and product planning processes
* Conduct new feature research and design test cases
* Execute performance, scalability, resiliency, and reliability tests on Red Hat OpenShift
* Clearly document new bugs and advocate their resolution with developers
* Carry out manual tests and deliver clear status for testing areas in a timely manner
* Document and advocate the resolution of new bugs with developers and communicate the impact on customers to developers and support
* Constantly learn new things and maintain an overview of current technologies
* Communicate with other globally distributed quality engineers and developers working on Red Hat OpenShift
* Work in a fast-paced environment
Required Skills
* Testing experience working as quality engineer or quality assurance (QA) specialist
* Bachelor's degree or higher, or equivalent in computer science or a related field
* 1+ year(s) of experience working in QE or software testing
* Familiarity with software testing methodologies and techniques
* Knowledge of the Linux operating systems (any distribution)
* Knowledge of networking
* Programming skills in Linux shell, Ruby, Golang, Python, or another programming language
* Motivated and dedicated to learning and collaboration
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and learn quickly
* Solid written and verbal communication skills in English
The following are considered a plus:
* Knowledge of Linux system performance tools
* Knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) EC2, Google Compute Engine (GCE), or Microsoft Azure
* Knowledge of containers, Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenStack Platform, or Red Hat OpenShift
* Knowledge of security testing
* Contributions to open source projects or publicly available code samples
