The Red Hat Quality Engineering (QE) team craves people with a curious and innovative mindset, with diverse technical backgrounds. Automated testing, software development, or DevOps are all aspects you can participate in during QE on the journey to make our software better. The Red Hat OpenShift QE team is looking for a Manager to join us in Beijing, China. In this role, you’ll build, organize, and manage a globally distributed testing engineering team. You’ll also participate in creating team structure, team performance reviews, and coaching and mentoring team members. You will define the test strategy and approach, understand and assess the test coverage and also be able to serve as a key decision-maker in technical matters. While developing an approach specific to your solutions, you will align it with the strategic initiatives defined by the Red Hat Global QE team. * Work with the complete Red Hat OpenShift offering family and be actively involved in and responsible for the delivery of Red Hat OpenShift product
* Make sure your team delivers reproducible and data-driven quality service for Red Hat OpenShift
* Implement ongoing quality improvement processes by working with cross-functional teams
* Prepare development plans with your team members
* Work cross-functionally within other teams and stakeholders and foster collaborative environment
* Manage and grow a motivated, engaged, and effective team
* Play an active role in hiring activities for on-site and remote teams
* Oversee planning of the team's yearly staffing, financial plan, and expenses priorities
任职要求:
* 3 years of experience as people manager
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
* 2+ years of experience managing, guiding, and mentoring a team of engineers
* Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize and work under strict deadlines
* Experience analyzing quality and product metrics
* Solid experience with at least one software development methodology
* Ability to learn and apply new skills and processes quickly
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Experience with a globally distributed team is a plus
