Responsibilities
IGT is looking for an experienced system administrator to join our global online operations team that is responsible for insuring application availability across the enterprise. This position requires a balance of knowledge, ingenuity and ability to solve problems in a fast-pace environment.
o Supporting Linux production and development environments
o Maintain software distribution infrastructure and application deployment
o Implementation of policies and procedures to ensure consistency with company values and goals, industry best practices and regulatory requirements;
o Responsible for driving standardization of provisioning, server applications, server roles, monitoring, workflow, infrastructure performance testing, and software release practice
o Provide thought leadership with respect to all aspects of Windows and Linux Server infrastructure, performance management and technology operations
Qualifications
o BA or BS degree or Technical Development with Systems Engineering certifications (eg: Red Hat Certified Engineer)
o Minimum of 4-5 years of hands-on Linux systems and application system administration and production infrastructure engineering experience, preferably with experience in a high-transaction, high-availability 24x7 environment
o Experience in supporting Enterprise Web Hosting environments, understanding network fundamentals
o Proven ability to implement, manage and support highly scalable and high performance SaaS, PaaS infrastructures
o Experience in building and support monitoring infrastructure – Nagios, Grafana, etc..
o Experience in participating in incident management processes.
o Ability to work with scripting languages
o Knowledge of Cloud concepts, Web Services and APIs is highly desirable
o Excellent problem solving and planning skills, a flexible approach with good verbal and written English communication skills
o Collaborative with strong project ownership and follow-through ability
o VMware experience will be plus.
o MS Azure experience will be a plus.
