Test Engineer

We’re a team of expert engineers responsible for the development of all test cases and test tools to ensure the functionality and compatibility of our products. We’re involved in the whole testing process from preparing test and diagnostic programs to recommending changes in testing equipment procedures and designing new testing equipment.

You will:
Technical Program Management Responsibilities:
Provide technical program management support for NPI projects with a focus on structural and functional test related deliverables.
Support the Storage test teams on implementation of test processes at contract manufacturing sites. This includes:
Supporting deployment and bring up of early test processes for NPI products.
Assist/consult with supplier test engineers during Dell Product development phases.
Support safe launch program for new products.
Manage installation and bring up of test equipment to support mass production.
Routine audits of test processes to include weekly yield reviews and driving any issues impacting production.
Innovative projects to improve efficiency.
Lead or participate in local technical meetings with contract manufacturing test teams to manage test related issues or projects.
Structural Test Management Responsibilities:
Partner with hardware design engineers, external vendors, and contract manufacturing suppliers to perform DFT (Design for Test) reviews focused on ICT (In Circuit Test) for printed circuit board assemblies (PCBA).
Collaborate with PCBA designers to provide optimum test access and coverage.
Manage ICT (In Circuit Test) development with third party vendors.
Collaborate with NPI teams and ensure on time delivery with optimum test coverage of ICT solutions or equivalent at lowest cost.
Local travel as needed to support various contract manufacturing sites.

Essential Requirements
Good understanding of hardware and software interactions.

Desirable Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related major. Experience in test, design or manufacturing electrical products.
Thorough understanding of PCBA manufacturing process and test, including AOI, AXI, ICT and functional testing. Hands on experience in ICT fixture development and support. Experience with Agilent and/or Teradyne ICT platforms.
