A fully sponsored doctoral student position is available in the School of Biomedical Engineering, Science and Health Systems at Drexel University in September, 2010. The main area of research for this position is focused on biomaterials and tissue engineering using biomaterial scaffolds and drug delivery strategies. The ideal candidate is required to have strong background in chemical engineering, preferably with a MS degree. The candidate should have expertise in chemical crosslinking and/or polymer synthesis for biomaterial scaffold fabrication and modification, as well as development of drug delivery systems. Experiences and technical skills in drug delivery or hydrogel would be a plus. Experiences in biomaterials or biological study is preferred, but not required. The candidate much has taken TOEFL and GRE tests.
