R&D Senior Scientist, China
Directly reporting to PSC Manager-China, the R&D Scientist is to lead the project research on sourcing and analysis the possibility for new plat form products possibility. Some key responsibilities are:
 Organizes, executes and interprets advanced technical research projects in product or process development through the application of advanced principles and practices in a scientific specialty (microbiology, food chemistry, and engineering).
 As a member of a team, organizes advanced projects in product/process development through the application of advance principles and practices on multiple interdisciplinary projects, establishing the acceptance criteria for research results. Works on individual assignment, conducts independent research in product or process development or specific area of expertise (food microbiology, sensory, food chemistry, engineering)
 Translates technical knowledge, and scientific information into product/process. Works with internal and external groups to resolve and provides solutions/improvements.

Develops technical solutions to complex problems, functioning as an internal expert and troubleshooter in area of specialty.
Influences the direction of projects based upon expertise, and suggests new projects based on discoveries
Works with outside labs, universities, ingredient suppliers and lab equipment vendors as needed by project activity.
Writes and edits reports and regular updates to provide concise summaries of project work. Makes presentations of results and recommendations to various groups, both internally and externally.
Maintains current awareness of applicable new technology and industry trends and their impact on technical and business needs.
Participates in marketing and selling new business and in follow-up customer contact.
Invents new technical areas and unique approaches.
Maintains accurate, up-to-date records, laboratory notebooks and computer database.
Supplies technical inspiration and leadership to many projects/initiatives.
Ensures the work environment is sanitary, safe and orderly.
QUALIFICATION REQUIRED
University master degree or above;
Be familiar with dairy/non-dairy/bakery products and with hands-on experience; understand relevant rules/regulations on food;
PhD preferred.
English CET4 or above, can use MS-Office
Good communication and problem-solving skills;
Health in line with food plant requirement.
