Our group at the University of California, Riverside uses protein engineering and synthetic chemistry, coupled with fluorescence spectroscopy and fluorescence microscopy to investigate molecular mechanisms and cell biology related to human health.
  
We look for a candidate who was trained in organic synthesis, but has basic knowledge of biology. In particular, the candidate should be able to perform multi-step organic synthesis, PCR reactions, and molecular cloning.
