闪电般的镰刀嚓嚓响，
草在退避，不远处一只小鸟
扑的一声腾空逃窜
Swish! Swish! The lightning-swift sickles slashed
Weeds retreated. A little bird nearby
fled darting up: Splash!

到你发现草丛里躺着一颗蛋
我已喊了起来——草歪向一边
光线涌入：它几乎还是透明的
You spotted an egg nestled in the grass
just as I cried out--weeds tilted aside
light burst in: it was almost translucent.

现在我们喝酒谈论着这件事：
那时你躬身把它拾进口袋
不加思索，而你的姿态
Now, over wine, we talk of that day--
how you stooped, picked it up and pocketed it
without hesitation, your posture

又像对那只远遁的鸟表示了歉意
like an apology to that vanished bird.
