John Toland在《最后一百天》里面第329页,提到:
It was ironic that Stalin used Eisenhower's argument about Berlin's loss of strategic importance-though it was not even mentioned in the Supreme Commander's message to him-to hide his own intentions while Zhukov was making last-minute preparations for a final, tremendous assault on Berlin.
然后在第345页上,打自己的脸:
Hitler's confidence (Berlin is only subject to minor side attacks. The major assault will be on Prague) was based on a report from General Reinhold Gehlen, head of Army Intelligence, whose secret agents had proof that Stalin had already ordered the main Soviet assault to be launched at Prague, largely because Bismarck once said that whoever occupied Prague held Mitteleuropa (中欧). Gehlen's agents were correct as far as they went. What they didn't know was that Stalin's order had met with violent opposition from Zhukov and other military leaders who insisted that Berlin should be the main target, since Hitler was there. And so, despite Bismarck and Stalin, the Red Army was, in fact, preparing its mightiest blow against Heinrici (接替希姆莱的维斯杜拉集团军群司令官).
