Eto'o receives three-match ban
Inter striker Samuel Eto'o has been suspended for three matches following his Zinedine Zidane-like head-butt on Chievo's Bostjan Cesar at the weekend.
The Cameroon international's actions went unnoticed by the referee and he remained on the pitch, scoring a wonderful 92nd minute goal, although it didn't stop Inter losing 2-1.
As expected, the League's disciplinary commissioner has come down hard on Eto'o, banning him for three matches notwithstanding the player's apology.
He has also been fined 30,000.
It's a serious blow to Inter who are in the midst of a grave injury crisis.
Eto'o is Inter's top scorer this season with 16 goals in all competitions and their dependence on him is likely to be revealed in the team's upcoming matches against Parma, Lazio and Cesena.
The 29-year-old won't feature again in Serie A in 2010, as Inter's match against Fiorentina in December has been rescheduled on account of the Club World Cup.
