Kovacic knee injury blow


Concern for Inter, as Croatia medics say Mateo Kovacic has “a cruciate knee ligament injury and cannot play.”

The midfielder was expected to start Croatia’s Euro 2016 qualifier against Norway in Zagreb on Saturday.

“I saw Kovacic. He has a cruciate knee ligament injury,” chief medic Boris Nemec told 24sata.hr.

“He still feels a lot of pain and there is absolutely no chance he’ll be able to play against Norway.”

There had been reports Liverpool were sending scouts to that game in order to view Kovacic.
