Moratti: 'No truth in Inter sale'
By Football Italia staff
Massimo Moratti has denied rumours that he is planning to buy back Inter, saying there is 'no possibility' that he will reclaim the club.
The former President was reported this morning to be studying options for a shock move to buy back the club, after selling it in November 2013 to Indonesian tycoon Erick Thohir.
But Moratti issued a statement saying that he backs the current administration.
“I support Erick Thohir,” he said, as reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport. “I hope he does well and the conditions are right for him to do so, as he is making a lot of sacrifices.
“Nothing is true [about the rumours]. I may miss the club as a supporter, and I may wish for certain fulfillments that I think Thohir enjoys.
“But there is no possibility that I may reclaim the club.”
