Barca in for Kovacic?
By Football Italia staff
Barcelona staff were reportedly in attendance at Sunday’s Milan derby to watch Inter’s Mateo Kovacic.
The Croatian playmaker only signed a new contract this season, but has nevertheless been linked with a move away, with his agent expressing frustration over Roberto Mancini’s tactics.
The Catalan side have a transfer ban until January 2016, so would not be able to complete a deal this summer, but Sport believes they are tracking Kovacic closely.
The newspaper asserts that Ariedo Braida, the club’s international sports advisor was present at San Siro yesterday, alongside Carles Rexach, Jordi Mestre and Javier Bordas.
It’s believed that the Blaugrana’s bid would involve a cash offer, as well as offering the Nerazzurri either Pedro or Alex Song in exchange.
