Inter-Torino row over Benassi
By Football Italia staff
Inter and Torino could go to a blind auction over the future of Italy Under-21 international Marco Benassi.
The midfielder is co-owned between the two clubs and they must reach an agreement on how to proceed by the June 25 deadline.
If not, the matter will be decided in a blind auction – both sides put a number in a sealed envelope and the highest bid wins.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter believe Toro should pay 2m for the remaining 50 per cent of Benassi’s contract.
However, Torino are refusing to go above 1.5m.
Another meeting to discuss the finer details and avoid the auction is set for Tuesday.
