Inter improve Perisic proposal
By Football Italia staff
Wolfsburg said Ivan Perisic is not for sale, but Inter step up their offer to 17m including bonuses.
“I know that Inter have set their sights on Perisic and they are not the only club to be tracking him,” Wolfsburg director of sport Klaus Allofs told Kicker.
“We have no intention of selling. Besides, I don’t think this move would be economically convenient for the Nerazzurri.”
Nonetheless, Sky Sport Italia claim Inter have increased their original bid to tempt Wolfsburg into a sale.
It would be a two-year loan at a cost of 2m with option to buy for a further 13m plus 2m in bonuses.
A clause would make the permanent move mandatory once Perisic starts a certain number of games.
The Germans are continuing to resist and want at least 20m for the Croatia international, or at least payment in a more conventional fashion.
