Roma fight Inter for Jovetic
By Football Italia staff
Roma are ready to challenge Inter for Manchester City striker Stevan Jovetic, but his price-tag is 21m.
Today’s edition of the Sunday Mirror claims the Giallorossi are stepping up to intercept negotiations.
Inter have never disguised their attempts to bring Jovetic back to Serie A, where he’d be reunited with Coach Roberto Mancini.
Juventus had been interested, but appear to have turned their focus elsewhere.
The English paper suggests Roma are ready to take the Montenegro international on loan with option to buy for 11m.
If needs be, they could even try to sign him immediately for 14m.
However, Manchester City continue to maintain they’ll only let Jo-Jo go for 21m, having paid Fiorentina 30m for him two years ago.
