Hecking: ‘Perisic will stay’

Inter’s hopes of landing Ivan Perisic today have taken a blow after Wolfsburg Coach Dieter Hecking said ‘he’ll stay with us’.

It has been widely reported that today is decisive in the Nerazzurri’s attempts to sign the Croatian, with a 2m difference in valuation believed to be the stumbling block.

However, Hecking cooled speculation about an imminent deal being reached when speaking to Kicker this morning.

“Perisic? As far as I know there’s nothing new,” he said.

“I think he’ll stay with us.”
