Jovetic: ‘Inter don’t fear Juventus’
By Football Italia staff
Stevan Jovetic insists Inter don’t fear Juventus in the Scudetto race - “when we played them we could have won”.
The Nerazzurri have extended their lead at the top of Serie A to four points, but the defending champions have won six in a row after a poor start.
“It’s still very early,” Jovetic told Premium Sport, when asked if the Beneamata can break away.
“Honestly I don’t pay attention to what the newspapers say. We have to concentrate on ourselves, then we’ll do that maths at the end.
“Juve are back in the running, but we’re strong and we hope we can win it.
“Are we afraid of Juventus? No, they are strong but when we played them we could have won, we had a great first half.”
Inter take on Cagliari in the Coppa Italia tomorrow, and the Montenegrin forward maintains it’s an important match.
“Tomorrow is an important match for us. Unfortunately we don’t have European competition, so we have to stake everything on this competition.
“We’ll try to win against Cagliari, and also to win the trophy if we get through.”
