Inter: Ranocchia agrees to Samp move
By Football Italia staff
Inter's Andrea Ranocchia approves Sampdoria, opening to an exchange for Eder or Roberto Soriano and a signing of Empoli's Federico Barba.
The former Nerazzurri captain is looking for a fresh start that would give him the playing time required for a Euro 2016 call-up this summer.
After being linked to a variety of clubs, most prominently Roma, Ranocchia is reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport to have approved a move to Sampdoria.
The transfer would be a strategic move for Inter, who have an interest in other Doria players, notably Eder and Soriano.
As a replacement for Ranocchia, Inter are believed to be considering Empoli's Federico Barba.
The 22-year-old comes with a price-tag of 5m and has already been promoted to the Milanese club by his agent, but the Biscione's offer is currently stuck at 3m.
Barba also enjoys the interest of Napoli and Fiorentina, who may be willing to beat that price.
